Role Overview: Customer Experience Specialist

The Customer Experience Specialist is the face of Tesla. In this role, you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers visiting Tesla showrooms.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, providing education, inspiration, and support.
  • Guide customers through the entire Tesla journey — from showroom visits to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Specialist at Tesla, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming walk-in guests and engaging them with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Conducting meaningful conversations to understand customer preferences, timelines, and needs.
  • Educating customers about Tesla vehicles and features through demo drives and Full Self-Driving demonstrations.
  • Supporting the sales pipeline by capturing guest data, scheduling test drives, and identifying high-intent buyers.
  • Delivering engaging orientation sessions during vehicle handovers to ensure customers feel confident and informed.
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service, organization, and teamwork.
  • Performing additional tasks as needed to meet business goals.

Skills and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:

  • Minimum 1+ year of customer service or sales experience with a proven track record.
  • Passion for Tesla’s mission and products, along with awareness of EV industry trends and local incentives.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a retail environment.
  • Valid driver’s license (mandatory).

Additional Requirements:

  • For certain U.S. states (CA, CO, HI, ID, MD, etc.), a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License is required.
  • In other states (AZ, GA, NJ, NY, PA, etc.), a Notary License is preferred (Tesla assists with obtaining one if needed).
