Job Description
The Associate Engineer – Global IT Helpdesk role is based in Chennai and reports to the Senior Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 IT support through chats, tickets, and calls.
- Offer Level 1 (L1) assistance for commonly used applications such as MS Office, Zoom, VPN, Box, and SharePoint.
- Serve as the first point of contact for addressing IT-related concerns from internal users.
- Troubleshoot technical issues remotely using remote desktop tools.
- Manage email distribution list permissions and Active Directory group modifications.
- Install and repair software as needed.
- Accurately document issues and escalate tickets through a service management tool like ServiceNow.
- Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for ticket resolution.
- Respond promptly to emails received during assigned shifts.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: BE/B.Tech, BSc/MSc (IT & Computer Science), or BCA/MCA graduates with no active backlogs and a minimum of 60% throughout academics.
- Experience: 0-2 years in IT service desk or technical troubleshooting.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows 10 & 11).
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts.
